A project for digital photography focusing on dichotomous relationships and preparing artwork for display.

THE PLAN
6 sessions; 50 minutes per session

1. SWBAT photograph a diverse range of subjects which demonstrate an understanding of dichotomy
2. SWBAT edit digital photographs in Photoshop
3. SWBAT select and prepare their works for display

1. digital cameras
2. editing software (we use Photoshop CS6)
3. color printer
4. rulers
5. scissors
6. glue sticks
7. white paper (for mounting)
8. black construction paper (for mounting)

1. Present the idea of dichotomous pairs and define dichotomy if necessary
- show examples from previous years of dichotomous pairs or create instructor examples
2. Direct the students to photograph 8 dichotomous pairs outside of school
- Go over project Criteria
- Stress that photos must be taken as 'pairs' or sets (they are really capturing 16 individual photos)
