natural and human-made environments?

Interpret visual parallels between the structures of natural and human-made environments. How do you teach this to your students? I keep over thinking this one and I'd like to see what others do. Thank you!

    Like a nest and a house? I had a project once where the students had to draw a home for an animal keeping in mind what type of environment the animal actually lived in.
