THE PLAN
1 session; 50 minutes per session
1. SWBAT navigate to the website, Artist's Toolkit.
2. SWBAT complete the Art Elements and Principles online activities in the section "Exploring the Toolkit" in order.
3. There are 14 different activities.
1. Computer, iPad
2. Internet Connection
3. Headphones (because there is sound involved)
4. Either/or
Printer, Paper or Junk Drive
1. Connect to website (http://www.artsconnected.org/toolkit/index.html)
2.Begin the 14 online activities in order and participate in each underlined element/principle in each section:
Line (2)
Color (5)
Space (3)
Shape (1)
Balance (1)
Movement/Rhythm (2)
Tell the student ahead of time that they are to "Take a Screenshot" of one of their art works from the CREATE TAB. They must do this when they are on the CREATE page. Otherwise, it will erase if they want to go back. (They may save it to the desktop and then print it out or simply save to their junk drive to save paper)
If printed, this will be signed and given to the teacher. Otherwise, the teacher will review their junk drive.
This is a wonderful independent study for art students. It can be also used as an effective remedial tool for art and literacy terms.
