THE PLAN
3 sessions; 35 minutes per session
1. SWBAT create an "echo" inspired artwork using the outline of their bodies and watercolor.
1. Pencil
2. Watercolor
3. Watercolor brushes
4. Black waterproof ink pen
5. Watercolor paper or paper thick enough to handle water.
6. Lightbox or something to trace an image with.
7. Camera
8. Access to a printer
9. Photocopy paper
DAY 1
1. Take pictures of yourself in a pose. It can be standing or in midair.
2. After picking out your favorite one print out a copy.
DAY 2
3. Using the lightbox trace the outline of your body onto the watercolor paper in pencil.
4. Using the ink pen go over your pencil lines with it. Then repeat this process getting wider and wider until you fill the page. This will be your echo effect. (Don't forget to erase your pencil marks after the ink dries.)
DAY 3
5. Now paint the paper using watercolors leaving the center of your body completely white.
