This is a technical drawing lesson for Steam Art. The students explore the parts of a Dyson vacuum provided by The Dyson Engineering Box. This is the first in a series of 6 different technical drawings.

THE PLAN
1 session; 50 minutes per session
1. SWBAT write a sentence about the form and function of the illustrated part. 2. SWBAT draw a realistic drawing of the vacuum part from life or from a picture on the worksheet #1.

1. Students explore the vacuum and its parts.
2. Phase 1: Students replicate the realistic picture on the Worksheet #1 or draw from life using line, shapes, forms and color.
Students' art work will be in a library show.
