8 sessions; 45 minutes per session

1. Develop 3 thumbnail sketches, designing with lines and shapes, the letters of your name, or a simple drawing.
2. Use a ruler and create a grid of 6 6" squares in a 12"x18" paper.
3. Transfer the drawing 6 times into the grid, or one large drawing with the grid overlay.
4. Plan a different color scheme for each box.

1. Sketch paper and pencil.
2. 12"x18" white paper, 80# or heavier.
3. 6" square paper for "master" drawing and a Light table for tracing the image into the grid 6 times.
4. Red, magenta, blue, turquoise, yellow, white and black paint.
5.Brushes, optional sharpie.
6. Cardboard square scraps for a palate.

3. After studying the color wheel and learning the color relationships- primary, secondary, complimentary, analogous, monochrome and neutral- plan one scheme for each square in the grid.
4. Set up palate, mix color as needed and paint.

1. Did student fullfill the requirements for the project, especially 6 different color schemes in 6 squares with at least 9 spaces (or shapes) to paint.
