This is an introduction to Discovery Art or Open Ended Art. You will also find one sample worksheet. I find it very useful to teach my ELL students new vocabulary or artists, and allow them the time to create their own interpretations in the blanks. The teacher's role is "Guide on the Side" who helps students only when asked. This is a student directed activity. The worksheet is easily modified to fit any art activity: art elements and principles, artists, art works, art history, techniques, and creativity.
