Students will create art showing how much their friends mean to them. I know this year has been tough for everyone so hopefully this project can put a smile on someone's face.

THE PLAN
1 session; 40 minutes per session
1. Paper (Any kind will do. If you plan on coloring or painting the paper be sure to use paper that works best with the medium you have in mind.)
1. Cut a sheet of paper into a square or rectangle, the size can be up to you. This is what you will glue your heart to.
2. To create the heart and arms take 2 smaller sheets of paper (each in a different color) and stack them on top of each other. Draw and cut out half a heart shape. Then cut two strips for the arms. If you are using white paper paint them two different colors.
3. Glue your heart in the center of the base. Then the arms across each half of the heart to give the appearance of two people hugging. Draw faces on each half of the hearts and fingers on each arm using a black sharpie.
Play around with different color combinations and different mediums for your hearts.
