Students will photograph a variety of items that all have a single, color tone in common.

One trend in contemporary photography is working monochromatically. Photographers use a single color for inspiration and use that color to create a series of photos that collectively compose a work of art. When photographing items, it is important for the photographer to consider the composition of each individual photo; photographers often reference the rule of thirds and consider scale and image balance (or symmetry) when documenting their subject.
