Elementary [1st-5th] Template

Annual Unit Template and Weekly Breakdown

Created on August 04, 2012 by jfrisco

After teaching Art at the elementary level for five years, I realized that it would be extremely beneficial to have an easy Annual Unit Template as well as a weekly breakdown to adjust as needed. I certainly adjust them, but have finally created templates that work for me. Feel free to use and adjust as you see fit. Hopefully it saves others time and energy with planning for the various grade levels and units we teach. I have 24 sections of 1st-5th grade Art. I teach each section on a five day rotation. I have them for 1 hour every five days. Happy planning!

THE PLAN

There are two separate files here... an Annual Unit Layout and Weekly Lesson Template Breakdown. Let me know if you have questions as to how I have implemented this resource.

Absolutely! I find myself always changing things because I get bored. The annual layout makes it easy for me to see what lesson I'm planning for each month and if students take longer on one unit I can always delete or change one as needed. It helps for me to have the visual on my whiteboard also. :)

Thank you for sharing! I'm going to use the breakdown with the clay unit, very helpful.
