Elementary [1st-5th] Lesson Plan

Shape Smudge

This is a lesson that I did with 2nd grade which focuses on geometric shape. It was a good project for every student to feel successful.

Completion time:

2 sessions; 60 minutes per session

Objectives:

SWBAT define geometric shapes
SWBAT identify geometric shapes
SWBAT explain that cubists broke things into shape

Practice Paper
Card Stock
Charcoal Pencils
Scissors
Drawing Paper

I love this project! I teach high school students and I think this would be a great example of under drawings- this would add so much depth! Thanks!
