Scope and Sequence of projects

Created on January 27, 2013 by MrsMatott

I created a scope and sequence for my year. It's shows grade level, month, and any website links to the project idea. Some books have been added too.

I need to do this. Only in my 2nd year teaching and still figuring out what are the most important concepts to teach and when to teach them! Other than the national standards to follow, I make up my own curriculum, which can be awesome and daunting at the same time. (I teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th, only teacher in the district for these age levels too). This is really great to see and will help me a lot! Thanks! By the way, I LOVE the clay bird baths! Definitely doing that this spring!

Thanks and I'm glad it's helpful for you! I adjust as I go throughout the year! I like the format of this and might add my standards to it as well.

Thank you for sharing. I am working on creating a Scope & Sequence also. How did you create the template? I like how it is colorful and how you can insert links to the lessons. Also, what kinds of pre-assessments do you use in the beginner of the year? Do you give a drawing assignment or a test or both?

This is a great idea. We get new students every quarter so our scope and sequence is only one quarter long. It's not always the same each quarter, as we study different artists and use different mediums.

This scope and sequence is great. It would be helpful to plan for next year's classes.

This will help me next year as our school moves into trying problem based learning.
