THE PLAN
4 sessions; 40 minutes per session
1. SWBAT draw a self-portrait with accurate proportions.
2. SWBAT identify the characteristics of pop art.
3. SWBAT describe Roy Lichtenstein's artwork.
1. Drawing paper

8. Mirrors
Day 1: Go over the proportions p.p. with students. Pass out mirrors and have students do a practice drawing of their self-portrait.
Day 2: View the pop art p.p. and talk about Roy Lichtenstein. Discuss the ben-day dots. Have students draw a self-portrait using only line. Trace with black sharpie.
Day 3-4: Add the ben-day dots and stripes. Some smaller areas can be colored solid. Have students fill out rubric and answer questions at the end when finished.
